世界不停變動,方向在瞬息間散去。
當未知浮現,提問也隨之而來:我們將往哪裡去?

身體、影像、物件與空間交織成一片開放的場域——
介於虛構與真實之間,既流動又不安定。

每一次移動、每一道光影,都像一聲低語:
如何選擇?如何前行?
又如何在不確定裡,為自己找到一個位置?

這是一段沒有答案的旅程,
以詩意的方式指向人與人、個體與世界之間
那些仍在變動的距離與渴望。

The world keeps shifting, and familiar directions vanish in an instant.

When the unknown emerges, a question rises with it: Where do we go from here?

Body, image, objects, and space weave an open field—

a terrain suspended between fiction and reality, fluid and unsettled.

Every movement, every flicker of light whispers softly:

How do we choose? How do we move forward? And how do we find a place for ourselves amid uncertainty?

This is a journey without answers, a poetic navigation through the ever‑changing distances and desires that shape our relationships—between individuals, and between self and world.

陳柏潔2025年劇場創作《在場》,是一場關於「存在」的實驗旅程。作品從個人經驗出發,解構「在場」的多重意涵,邀請觀眾一同進入流動的感知場域。舞台不再是界線,而是共振的空間——在表演者與觀眾的即時互動中,記憶、情感與自我觀察彼此交織。讓每一次觀看成為一次獨特的生成。這不只是一齣表演,而是一場與他人、與自己共處的片刻,一次關於存在的當下實踐。

《在場》是一個關於感知與存在的創作。

在經歷不同角色與場域時,我感受到自己不斷在身體與心理之間游移。

有些時刻特別鮮明,彷彿整個人被放大;有些時刻卻像輕輕劃過,難以觸碰。

那些變動與不確定,反而成了我對生命感受最深的痕跡。

於是我讓身體成為容器,讓光、影、物、聲流進來——

透過身體、影像、裝置與舞蹈,拾起散落的片段,

在變動不定的當下,感知自己仍在生成,

如同潮汐,如同夢境, 在尚未命名之處,持續發生。


Po-Chieh Chen’s 2025 theatre creation, Possibility of Presence, is an experimental journey into the notion of existence. Rooted in personal experience, the work deconstructs the multiple meanings of “presence,” inviting audiences into a fluid field of perception. The stage dissolves as a boundary and transforms into a space of resonance—where memory, emotion, and self-observation intertwine through real-time interaction between performer and audience.

Each encounter becomes a unique act of emergence. Possibility of Presence is not merely a performance, but a shared moment of being—with others, and with oneself—an embodied practice of existence in the here and now.

Possibility of Presence is a creation about perception and existence.

As I move through different roles and spaces, I feel myself constantly shifting between the physical and the psychological.

Some moments stand out vividly, as if my whole being is magnified; others pass by lightly, barely within reach.

These states of flux and uncertainty have left the deepest imprints on my experience of life.

So I allow my body to become a vessel—welcoming light, shadow, objects, and sound to flow in.

Through movement, images, installations, and dance, I gather scattered fragments,

sensing myself continuously becoming amidst ever-shifting moments—

like tides, like dreams, unfolding in places yet to be named.

陳柏潔舞蹈創作 七首非語言的詩 進入記憶的領地

藝術報國2024年全新製作,由藝術總監陳柏潔編創的詩意舞作。

《發現之地》這部作品名稱源自拉丁文 “Locus”,意為軌跡、所在地。這個詞彙如同記憶的象徵,那些生命中曾經發生的事件,隨著時間推移逐漸模糊,難以確定當下的經歷是真實還是記憶的錯置。

回顧生命時,最真實且觸及內心深處的感受往往比事件本身更加深刻。靈魂彷彿跳脫出過去的自我,成為旁觀者,見證那一瞬間湧現的思索與辯論。這些深刻的感受,即便未曾言說,也在內心留下無比真實的印記。

身體、空間、光線的交織,創造7首非語言的詩。邀請您一同走入屬於自己的領地。

Locus” is a poetic choreographic work created by Po-Chieh CHEN and produced by Ars Associaiton.

The title, “Locus”, is derived from the Latin word meaning “track” or “place.” In Po-Chieh’s choreography it symbolizes the memories and senses between times, where events that once occurred in life gradually fade with time, making it difficult to distinguish between what was real and what might be a distortion of memory.

When reflecting on life, the most genuine and profound feelings often resonate more deeply than the events themselves. The soul seems to transcend the past self, becoming a spectator, witnessing the thoughts and debates that arise in a fleeting moment. These deep emotions, even if unspoken, leave an indelible mark on the heart.

Locus” navigates between reality and illusion, revealing and secretly preserving the desires and feelings deep within the heart. Dreams also serve as a domain for reflecting on many moments in life, allowing one to see the interplay between reality and ideals in retrospection, and to gain healing and energy upon awakening.”

This work is akin to a collection of poems, offering viewers a space where they can compose their own narrative—a realm of solitude for the soul.

《舉起手指向星辰》為編舞家陳柏潔受到哲學中「Alteritas」概念的啟發,欲探索現代社會「他者化」現象的創作。透過劇場語彙,反思自我與他者的關係,直視主流文化對於差異的偏見與邊緣化。作品強調「他者」是一種人人可能經歷的身份轉換,流動於模糊的邊界,並邀請觀者重新思索「我們的存在須透過他者映照與確認」的深層意涵。

我總覺得,「他者」存在於模糊的界線之中。

人們認為「他者」是那些陌生的、與我們不同的人。可是在日常生活裡,當我們與他人擦肩而過、當我們注視新聞影像的片段、甚至當我們凝視鏡中的自己時,我發現這個「他者」就在我們之中,甚至就是我們自己。

《舉起手指向星辰》是我在這個想法中的探索過程。那些「被忽略的面孔」在資訊洪流裡出現又消失的人事物,不斷的被遺忘。故事和臉孔開始模糊、變得遙遠,讓我開始思考對於「他者」感知上的落差。每個個體試圖融入群體,然而過程中,新的界線又不斷被畫出來。

對我來說,這部作品就像一場對話,一場不需要語言的對話。透過劇場藝術的語彙,我希望邀請觀眾一起去感受這種「看見」的瞬間,以此作品為起點,驅動我們前進,重新凝視曾被忽視的模糊邊界。

Choreographer CHEN Po-Chieh is inspired by the philosophical concept of “Alteritas” to explore the phenomenon of “otherness” in contemporary society. Through the language of theater art, she reflects on the relationship between self and other, confronting mainstream culture’s prejudice and marginalization of differences. The work emphasizes that “the other” is not merely an external group but an identity shift that anyone can experience, flowing within blurred boundaries. It invites the audience to reconsider the profound notion that “our existence is mirrored and affirmed through the other.”

I have always felt that “the Other” exists within blurred boundaries.

People often think of “the Other” as someone distant, unfamiliar, or different from themselves. However, in everyday life, when we brush past strangers, glance at fleeting images in the news, or even look into our own reflection in the mirror, I realize that “the Other” exists right here among us — sometimes, it even is us.

This work is my exploration of that concept. The forgotten faces, the overlooked figures, and the stories that emerge and vanish in the endless stream of information — they seem like a continuous process of collective forgetting. These faces and stories fade, becoming distant and blurred, prompting me to reflect on the gaps in how we perceive “the Other.”

In the pursuit of belonging, each individual tries to fit into a group. Yet, during this process, new boundaries are constantly drawn, defining who belongs and who doesn’t.

For me, this work is like a conversation—a dialogue without words. Through the language of theater art, I hope to invite the audience to experience the moment of “seeing.” I envision this work as a starting point, driving us forward to re-examine the blurred boundaries that have been overlooked.

“The Sketch Series” is a collaborative development of cross-media creative research and practice by choreographer Po-Chieh Chen and designer Yu-Fen Chen. The series primarily utilizes atypical spaces as performance sites, constructing the stage through the interplay of movement, objects, and the environment.

In 2024, the first of “The Sketch Series”, titled “The Near Elsewhere, in the Geography of Seeing and Not Seeing” was launched. Through this work, the artists aim to explore the parallel and intersecting realms of internal spiritual journeys and real-life experiences. The Near Elsewhere, in the Geography of Seeing and Not Seeing” aspires to evoke resonance among diverse viewers through non-verbal and non-linear interpretations and to endow each viewer with the imagination to compose their own inquiries and interpretations about the self.

“The Sketch Series” is a collaborative development of cross-media creative research and practice by choreographer Po-Chieh Chen and designer Yu-Fen Chen. The series primarily utilizes atypical spaces as performance sites, constructing the stage through the interplay of movement, objects, and the environment.

In 2024, the first of “The Sketch Series”, titled “The Near Elsewhere, in the Geography of Seeing and Not Seeing” was launched. Through this work, the artists aim to explore the parallel and intersecting realms of internal spiritual journeys and real-life experiences. Flowing and navigating within the geography between fiction and reality, and posing the question, Where is the “Elsewhere”?

The Near Elsewhere, in the Geography of Seeing and Not Seeing” aspires to evoke resonance among diverse viewers through non-verbal and non-linear interpretations and to endow each viewer with the imagination to compose their own inquiries and interpretations about the self.

微觀地平線 Fractal Minute

現地創作的過程中,受到沙洲水波紋的啟發,凝固的過去與此時共同存在。面對大武山的稻田中,以網室資材編織漂浮的白雲,象徵記憶與壓縮的空間。攀爬的絲瓜與南瓜象徵人類生活的拓展,而田間灑播的油菜花隨時間變化,呈現自然共生、時間流動與人類生活的延展。

Intro:

In the process of creating Yu-Fen was inspired by the ripples of the sandbank water, and the solidified past coexists with the present. In the rice fields facing to Dawu Mountain, floating white clouds are woven with net, symbolizing memory and compressed space. The climbing loofahs and pumpkins symbolize the expansion of human life, while the rapeseed flowers scattered in the fields change with time, showing natural symbiosis, the flow of time and the extension of human life.

製作媒材:防蟲白網、麻繩、魚線、桃花心木樹枝、絲瓜苗、南瓜苗、油菜花籽


Materials : Insect-resistant white net, hemp rope, fishing line, mahogany branches, loofah seedlings, pumpkin seedlings, rapeseed.

走進一座能夠編織夢想的城市——

天真浪漫的艾拉,總把童話當作夢想的藍圖。
這一次,她將參與名為『臺中兒童藝術節』的盛會,
與無數純真的靈魂相遇,
一同在城市裡編織屬於他們的童話。

《艾拉 — 編織童話》是一部融合戲偶與舞蹈的肢體劇場作品,以戶外現地演出的形式呈現。作品突破傳統偶戲的操作方式,讓戲偶與表演者同時成為舞台的核心;舞者不僅是操偶師,更以身體語彙參與演出,編織出虛實交錯的奇幻景象。

這次特別邀請臺中在地傑出演藝團隊「純白舍 Dance Lab」的多位青年舞者共同參與演出,展現城市中正在醞釀、奔放的藝術能量!

「我們要為未來留下什麼?」

由臺灣創作團隊「藝術報國」(Ars Association)打造的《艾拉—相遇中之島》(Ayla – Strolling in Nakanoshima)於2025年8月在大阪中央公會堂東側廣場登場!

這場跨越時空的當代戲偶暨舞蹈展演,講述來自未來的小學生艾拉(Ayla)踏上田野調查之旅,探索不同時空的文化與自然。她活潑自信、富有想像力,熱愛結交新朋友,並細細記錄旅途見聞,將珍貴發現帶回未來與同學分享。透過她的視角,我們得以重新審視歷史、環境與人文的關聯,並思考:「我們能為未來留下什麼?」

演出突破傳統戲偶框架,運用肢體劇場表演形式,在虛實交錯間激發觀眾想像。不僅是視覺與劇場的探索,更是一場激發好奇心、連結生活的藝術行動。

《艾拉 – 第一次造訪》Ayla – The First Visit (2022)

「我們要為未來留下什麼?」

艾拉 (Ayla),是一名來自未來的小學生。她的個性活潑又充滿自信,腦袋裡頭總是充滿各種天馬行空的想像,更熱愛認識新朋友和探索各種事物!這次,她啟動的探索計畫,是一項關於過去的歷史人文田野調查,選擇穿越時空來到2022年的臺灣。在這裡她將會拜訪城市與山林,和當地人們交朋友,將所見所聞 ,與未來世界的同學們分享。

“Ayla – The First Visit ”is a new production by Ars Association (Taiwan). It’s a contemporary outdoor puppetry performance invited by Weiwuying National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, and co-produced by 2022 Taoyuan Iron Rose Festival and 2022 Yunlin International Puppet Theater Festival.

Ayla is a primary school student from the future. She is outgoing and confident, with all kinds of wild ideas in her mind. She also like to meet new friends and explore the world. She initiates an exploration project about history and culture in the past. That’s why she goes back in time to Taiwan in 2022. In this trip, she will visit cities and nature, make local friends, and present what she learns afterwards to her classmates.
